Something Blue at The Highland Manor

Le Fleur Atelier had the pleasure of designing and styling Katie and Ryan’s spring wedding at the historic Highland Manor — a turn-of-the-century Victorian tucked beneath sweeping century-old oaks in Apopka, Florida. The manor’s grand porches, ornate millwork, and sun-dappled lawn set a romantic, timeless stage for their elegant blue-and-white wedding celebration.

The day began next door at the Hilton Garden Inn, where the bridal party gathered in light-blue jammies, sipping champagne, sharing laughs, and treasuring quiet first-look moments. Hair and makeup were elegant and simply beautiful: soft, romantic waves and luminous, natural makeup for Katie and refined hair-styled with fresh, dewy finishes for her bridesmaids. Katie’s modern trumpet gown — complete with a dramatic oversized bow — was equal parts classic and contemporary, a perfect match for the venue’s old-world charm.

At the ceremony beneath the manor’s iconic oak, we repeated 2 tall French country blue-and-white vases — urns filled with white roses, tulips, and hydrangeas, punctuated by vertical sprays of blue delphinium.

Cocktail hour and the ballroom continued the vase motif: low hydrangea-and-rose compotes for mingling and taller urns with delphinium for dramatic table moments. The blue-and-white porcelains gleamed against creamy blooms and the manor’s historic details, creating a cohesive, graceful celebration that felt both curated and heartfelt.
